Fruit Patch Logo Package

I recently got the opportunity to design a logo package for queer community allotment project Fruit Patch.

I wanted it to have a homemade feel, so I gelli printed fruits and vegetables and used these to create collaged lettering and assets.

I created a range of logo types for a variety of uses, including digital and for merch.

Custom badges for book launch

Author Mara Gold commissioned 50 badges to support the launch of her book Ancient Myths and Legends without Men.

Each badge was it’s own unique artwork, made from handprinted gelli plate backgrounds with collaged illustrations and text from her book. The approach was playful and fun, while engaging with the themes of the book.

Molly also provided quality images of the products and interactive social media content such as “Which badge is your star sign” and “Press to find out which feminist badge you are”.

Handpainted Wedding Invite

Created for her own wedding, Molly painted this piece based on the venue The Abbey in Sutton Courtenay.

She reimagined the entrance complete with a giant pink bow and disco ball.

She also created a series of handpainted assets to create the inside of the invite including backgrounds, symbols, and decorative flowers.

We are Joy Community Mural

Commissioned for Oxford DIY Pride, Molly created a community mural for Florence Park Community Centre.

Working around the phrase “We are joy”, participants were encouraged to draw or paint things that brought them joy onto the mural.

Molly then filled in the gaps and sealed the piece.

The piece brought together a sense of community, with participants bonding over joyful memories and finding points of connection.

Community Painted Planter

While working for MakeSpace Oxford as a Community Development Coordinator, Molly decided to add a community planter to the front of one of the buildings she managed.

She wanted to bring together the groups who share the building and create a sense of unity and shared values.

Building users were given an outline of a planter and were asked to draw designs on them. Molly then brought together these designs into one cohesive piece.

She then painted and varnished the planter, and encouraged building residents to help with planting and maintaining plants.

The result was a colourful, joyous piece, creating a sense of community and shared ownership of the space.

Handpainted Headington Hall

Commissioned as a leaving gift, Molly was asked to reimagine Oxford Brookes University’s iconic Headington Hall bedecked in rainbow lighting, complete with a pride flag.

The piece was carefully handdrawn and painted, making a keepsake that will be cherished forever.

Sunflower shoes

After seeing her wife fall in love with a pair of sunflower Mary Janes which had sold out, Molly decided she could create them herself.

She painstakingly handpainted some shoes with a sunflower motif, complete with a wildflower meadow detail around the base.

Pet portrait

Commissioned by a family member, Molly was delighted to bring Puggle Griff to life with this custom pet portrait - including his signature bow tie!
