Making a logo package
I like making with my hands
My process
I got to design the branding for my queer community allotment Fruit Patch!
I used collage as the basis. I love designing by hand.
Take a look at my process!
First, I worked out what vibes I wanted the logo to give off, and what kind of imagery I might want to use.
Then I created an inspo board.
Then I did some experimenting with some doodles, working out what I liked and what I didn’t. I also made a cyanotype!
I loved using veggies to make prints, but decided I needed more contrast and definition. I decided to gelli print some veg!
I then decided to use these prints to create a collaged logo.
I then digitised the piece so I could play around with it more. This felt right!
I created flat colour versions for digital use and played around with composition.
This is the finished logo package! There’s a mixed of textured and flat versions in a range of formats to suit a broad range of use.
I think it turned out so cute!
I also made these matching assets so it’s easy to create graphic designs!
Here are some mock ups of what the logo would look like in different formats, from social media posts to stickers!
My personal favourite is the bucket hat. What’s yours?
What do you think?
Do you think the logos are cute?
Would you buy Fruit Patch merch?
Do you prefer things made with your hands?
I can make logos for you too!
